This page explains how Essential Yoga researches, writes and updates its articles.

Our sources

We use published yoga teaching resources, health guidance such as the U.S. National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) information on yoga, peer-reviewed research summaries, and manufacturers’ information on equipment materials and care.

What we do not do

  • We do not claim to have tested products unless that is true, and we never invent test results, ratings, awards, quotes or personal experiences.
  • We do not publish retailer prices, star ratings or customer reviews.
  • We do not accept payment to include or rank a product.
  • We do not claim yoga treats, cures or prevents any condition, and we do not give medical advice.
  • We do not encourage forcing a pose or practicing through pain.

Use of AI tools

AI tools help draft some articles. A person checks every article before publication; facts, numbers and safety statements are verified against sources, and anything we cannot verify is removed.
